Our philosophy

Since we both have been training a lot with our own dogs it felt like a natural step to start helping other owners with their dogs. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about how different dogs react on different ways of training.

When we go to new trainers ourselves we think that it is important that we find the instructor competent and that he or she knows what they are talking about. In order to feel that the instructor is trustworthy we think that he or she should fulfill two things, firstly that he or she has a dogs that has been worked out thoroughly that can be used as an example in training. The second thing is that it feels more secure if the instructor has been trained and certified by some of the bigger organizations in Sweden that graduate instructors for hunting dogs.

So, for us it was rather easy. To be able to feel secure and trustworthy in the eyes of our future students we had to see to that we fulfilled those two requirements.

Our dogs are well trained, and most of the time they joyfully do what we ask them to do. If you attend one of our classes we sometimes lend one of our dogs to the students so that they can feel how it should be done when you just have to concentrate on yourself. Not so much what the dog is doing, and still get the right result out of the exercise.

When it comes to instructor training and certification we have been educated by the Swedish Hunters Association, and also been attending other small courses in different places.

It is said that hunting dogs gain more hunting wisdom by hunting and we think that this also work the other way around. We get more ”hunting wise” by hunting together with our dogs. But we don’t think that we are fully learned and we are always prepared to change our point of views if someone comes with a better thinking.

We believe in things like the right feeling and knowledge. Leadership and cooperation between you and your dog. We don’t accept more assignments than we think that we have the time for. We believe that things you find stimulating and amusing – you do good. Hense it can happen that we don’t have time for you and your dog exactly when you feel like training, but then you can either wait until we have time for you or we can recommend someone else.

This also means that we require that if you train with us, you have to do this wholeheartedly together with your dog, if you are not willing to do this it might be better for you to go to another trainer.

Any breed are welcome here, but we are specialized in the hunting dogs and training that will make your dog a better hunting dog – simply by being more obedient. Since we have a passionate interest in the pointing dogs we especially like to train those disciplines that is needed for that kind of hunt. Like retrieving and tracking for example.

We offer training in groups or private training.
