This weekend we were invited to a friends house for some nice hunting. And since the latest weeks has been filled with field trials and such this was a nice break!
I [Linn] didn’t bring my gun this time since we had planned to let Boom out on the fields for some real huting for the first time since he came to us. Something told me that I would have to put all my work into getting Boom to do his stuff…
Boom did a great job this wonderful day and I was really excited that we actually made him stop from running after a hare! At one time I even lost him since he was pointing in some very dense bushes, and when I finally found him he was looking at me like: ”Finally!!!” Then he flushed the bird really nice on my command while I was silenty cursing myself for not bringing my gun today…
It is this kind of things that makes you forget how tired you are from walking in the clay all day long! Who cares about the bushes giving you a bad hair day as long as the dog does what he is supposed to do!
